Currency

The official currency of Cape Verde is the Cape Verdean Escudo. Bureau de change is available in the International Airport, as well as, at local banks. ATM machines are available at the airport, but are very rare throughout resorts, banks also have ATMs, however, are well known for being out of order regularly. It is illegal to import and export local currency. Foreign currency has no limits, as long as the relevant declarations are made on arrival and departure.

Language

The official language of Cape Verde is Portuguese. Some English, German, French, Italian and Spanish are spoken.
